#1: Bhumibol Adulyadej

The world’s longest reigning Monarch was born in 1927. He became King Rama IX in June 1946.
The Monarch holds a patent in a form of cloud seeing and holds an Engineering degree from the Swiss.
Apart from this, He also plays the Sax and has composed the National Anthem for Thailand.

#2: The National Flag

Thailand’s national flag was introduced by King Rama VI (King Vajiravudh). The flag is raised at 8:00 every morning and is lowered at 6:00 in the evening.

#3: Record Break

With 10,488 washed plates lined up, the record for the longest line of washed plates was set in May 2010 by Thailand. However, this record was beaten by India in 2013 with 15,295 plates.

On April 9, 2010, Thailand recorded the longest catwalk as a part of the Pattaya International fashion week for 1,584m.

The Siamese cats are native to Thailand. They are called ‘Wichen – maat’ meaning moon diamond. Of the 23 breeds described in a 14th century book, only 6 breeds are alive today.
The most expensive pet wedding at $16,421 for Phet and Ploy happened in 1996.
It is considered to bring good luck to a marriage if the bride is given a pair of Si Sawaat cats (a breed) on the day of wedding.
