10. Stanley Prison, Hong Kong

It is one of the six maximum security facilities in Hong Kong. This prison was built in 1937. Here between 1946 and 1966, about 120 criminals were executed in the gallows. The prison has become the part of the Stanley Internment Camp. It is one of the most torturing places of Hong Kong. China who had tried to cross the border were also kept here for many years.

This prison was built in 1930. Here some of the most dangerous prisoners have had been kept. This became infamous due to the Attica Prison riot on September 9, 1971.
